Welcome to the yogamedco research center
we translate well-being research into real world practice

YogaMedCo's Research Center's mission is to translate the latest well-being science into real world practice to promote global health and well-being. We partner with individuals, organizations, and agencies to conceptualize, design, develop, and disseminate well-being programs, training events and interventions, by applying the sciences of social marketing, health communication, outcomes-based programming and leadership training.

YogaMedCo has been honored to support government agencies, organizations, and teams with customized programming and individuals with customized well-being coaching. We also offer a portion of our training programs to the public for free or at a sliding fee scale as part of our efforts to educate the public and promote health equity.

If you are interested in partnering with us, please CONTACT US!

Current Research Effforts

We are currently engaged in the following research projects:

1) A research study collaboration with the
University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics, exploring how the YogaMedco coaching method (Carmack, 2014; 2015) can impact physician scientist mentoring process and clinician/researcher work/life well-being while preventing burnout and compassion fatigue.

2) The Genius Break Project - our efforts to bring Genius Breaks to school communities to promote student and teacher well-being. We are honored to partner with the Josh Gibson Foundation.

3) Participation in a Suicide Prevention Working Group, preparing an application to PCORI to fund programming using YogaMedCo curriculum to support parents of teens in suicide prevention.

Please  connect with us if you'd like to discuss ways to collaborate with us as a participant or partner.
